It was a terrible experience. I was scheduled to have a UFE and was told post-care prescriptions would be submitted to my listed pharmacy the day before so that I would have them available after the procedure. When I called the pharmacy to see if they script had been sent I was told they hadn't received it. As it was close to pharmacy closing, I called USA Fibroid Centers. My inquiry was rudely rebuffed by a support agent who quipped: "When the dr puts the script in, the pharmacy will call you. No need to call us." Needless to say the pharmacy closed and I received no notification regarding the script. The procedure was scheduled for the next morning and when I arrived I informed the medical assistant and the anaesthesiologist that I wasn't able to pick up my script because the pharmacy never received it. They assured me the dr would put it in before the procedure and they would be ready by the time I was released. They were not. The person who picked me up had to then go back to the clinic and inform them that the pharmacy still had not received the script. This time they waited until they had confirmation that they dr submitted it and the pharmacy accepted it. We drove back to the pharmacy and still had to wait another 30 minutes for it to be ready. In the meantime, the anaesthesia was wearing off and I was in an enormous amount of pain. I tried taking the medicine but couldn't keep anything down. I had to be admitted to the ER where they told me the dr failed to prescribe Zofran, which would have prevented the nausea. The hospital issued me a script for the missing drug and I was able to recover after the $150 ER trip.
