Love the lake, wish the buildings were used more. I've foraged berries, mushrooms, and other wild edibles. It's a great fall park, I really vibe with the tall wildflowers and grass round the spooktime of year. The veggie garden is so lush as well, with fruit trees. All around good park, wish they had more events and social media presence.

Great for early morning birdwatching from comfortable Adirondack chairs near parking lot; trails behind buildings circle a large pond and bring more birding opportunities--hawks, flickers, woodpeckers, vireos, many more.

Legacy Park is in a great Decatur neighborhood and home to walking trails and a bird sanctuary. Awesome volunteers at the bird sanctuary are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with injured birds. A great place for a quiet afternoon walk! 👍

❤❤❤ Legacy! There are nice walking/running trails, baseball field (mildly maintained), basketball court, garden, orchard, and more birds than you could imagine. I hope the city is careful with how the park is used/developed in the future as it is currently a favorite place for our family!

I'm not sure but would not be surprised
There are several small trails from both the east Decatur Greenway and also from the main entrance of of south Columbia drive
Call the city of Decatur offices to inquire.
It is a public park, but it isn't a state park. It is a city park.
