Miller's Landing

Miller's Landing gets three stars instead of five because of the campsites. Upon arrival the campground is confusing to navigate due to the lack of signs and the cute but vague map. This gets worse if you arrive in the dark. The campsites themselves are small, inconsistent in quality, and easily flooded--which becomes a significant problem with such limited space and in such a wet place. A waterproof tent and tarp, even when placed in the flattest and dryest spot available, was no match for the rain. (Campsite was Holly). Otherwise, though, Miller's Landing was great. The staff (Emma especially) is welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The restrooms and laundry were clean. The office/cafe area had free (fast!) wifi, ample phone charging, great cafe food, coffee, and a camp shop with all the essentials. The location of Miller's also ensured a gorgeous view of the water and mountains across the bay. If I hadn't been in a tent, this review would be perfect. But for $35 a night, I almost feel bad about complaining given the sky-high prices for other camping accommodations in the area. Note: I was here in mid-August.

My friends and I stayed here over the weekend in the full yurt, we absolutely loved it! Super cozy, great location right on the water, very peaceful. Close to the harbor, downtown and sea life center. Exit glacier is only a 25 minute drive as well and we got to see some bears and moose on our way there. The wood burning stove inside is lovely, but you will need a lot of wood to stay warm (if you're going when it's cold of course). It got a bit chilly early morning hours when the wood was gone, so dress warm and bring extra blankets! We will absolutely come back!

Awesome camp spot right on the water outside of Seward. Electric hookups and a portable water station. Showers available. The views were amazing, will have to do a kayak trip next time.

Epic! Whale watching, porpoises, sight seeing and best of all fishing! Chance and his crew (Clay and Bobby) are so knowledgeable and helpful. Chance had us on fish as soon as we dropped anchor! The team is so professional but kept us all laughing too! We limited out so they took us sightseeing as well on our way home! My only complaint is that I only booked one day with them. I will remedy that mistake when I return next year!
