i got back quickly which was cool but had to wait a decent time. that isn’t my biggest issue. i am transgender and i look like a male… facial hair and all. my name and gender marker is changed legally, the nurse continued to misgender me. the nurse asked about my testosterone and hysterectomy yet continued to misgender me. the younger male dr was very kind and asked how i liked to be addressed which was appreciated. will probably not be back & would probably not recommend🤮👎🏻

Yesterday I was here and was treated poorly I was told I had uti but my pain is worst that medicine they gave me didn't work why do y'all hate black people so bad when I first walke in the receptionist said to me can I help you sir ma'am what was that no matter how respectful I am as a black woman I am mistreated but I will pray for all of you nobody listened to me because I do have a history of having mental health but I understand everything that happened yesterday everyone who has mental health is very intelligent please be more kind to us save our lives to god bless The field of medicine was very complicit historically in racial categorization and biological concepts of race,” said Sabin. Medicine’s role in espousing biological differences between Black and white people laid the foundation for justifying slavery and the inhumane treatment of Black people. Dr. James Marion Sims, known as the founding father of gynecology, conducted experimental surgeries on enslaved Black women without anesthesia, developing a body of work that continues to misrepresent how Black women experience pain.

Used to go here when i was younger. Now that i’m older i still go and recently went. I sat there for 3 hours, got put into a room in the back waited an hour, which i get sometimes can be busy with low staff but not to mention one of the doctors were rude. Pretty much told me they could not do anything, made me sign papers and sent me home. On top of that when the doctor went back to the desk to get my papers ready, i over heard her talking about me to the officer, and laughed. This used to be a good place and i even would recommend this place. Now this place is trashy. What kind of doctor talks about a patient to another employee??? Never again will i go back!

My boyfriend went in for a prolonged asthma attack and racing heart. We were there in the middle of the night and the wait time was very long, which I won’t fault them for. My complaint is that he was in and out quickly and felt dismissed and his questions not answered. They prescribed cough medicine when he hasn’t even been coughing, an inhaler and steroids. He’s never used an inhaler before. He had to call the pharmacy and have them answer questions about it that were not answered by the hospital. We will be spending thousands of dollars we don’t have on this visit, which feels Like a ripoff for the services we received. Have never had a good experience with mercy health, but they’re basically a monopoly so they can get away with it. Giving two stars instead of one because there is a good financial aid program available.

Can I get an EKG by walking in with my prescription?

Caro Alfaoury | Nov 7, 2018
Jaime Romeo | Nov 7, 2018

Yes & no. You'll need your prescription, ID (Driver's License) & your medical insurance card in order to register for the EKG testing. As this is an Emergency Room with outpatient services, you may have a longer wait time as ER patients are cared for 1st & outpatients are after them. Best times would be between 8am-6pm.
