Such a great time and good food. I look forward to going to this every year. The sunrise launch of the balloons is so beautiful to watch. Definitely worth getting up early to see!!

great food truck yo fireworks are decent, after not having the festival for the second year in a row, i’d expect a major upgrade in next years festival! More vendors would also be great yo

Balloon rides vary due to costs changing constantly on each team. Please contact the pilots for rates and availability
Yes it is, and it's in the park so you dont have to worry for getting there.
There was no change to enter when we got here about 530. There are lots of vendors, a Fire Dept food both and other concessions. Fireworks are sponsored by community donations.
I'm not sure you can call the plainville fire department cuz they're the ones that put it on
Double Tree by Hilton, 2.8 miles away, 8 minute drive to Balloon Fest
But its hard to do with out company names Kyle. I went few years back i may have taken some pictures of the company trailers. Give me a week to go through pictures. Some names is better start than none, i hope.
$250 to $300 yesterday when I inquired
Crooked street in Plainville has a hotel and an Irish Tavern.

I'm pretty sure it's too late for this weekend's festival. Check www.lighterthanair.org
Is parking available in the park and around the neighborhood
They ran shuttle buses to off site parking at the airport and the highschool. The line can get very long but the buses keep rotating and move people faster than you may expect, just be a bit patient!
All the answers to this....is on the website.
I believe the actual rides are booked in advance. You can go to www.lighterthanair.org for more information. The fire department arranges the event and more information is on their website at www.plainvillefireco.com/hot-air-balloon-festival Hope this helps!
Have to book a balloon ride in advance with the private vendors that display their balloons at the festival
There usually is all day for a fee. This is a quick tethered trip up and down. If you want a ride you have to contact individual vendors. They do flights early morning weather and wind depending.
Firehouse staff and volunteers will be cooking up typical breakfast food starting before 6 iirc. Later in the day typical fair food in booths.
Last year they had food, arts and crafts and some businesses had a booth. If you're on Facebook, I'm not, I believe you could go on there and find out all the information you need.😁
Balloons are at 6 am, vendors at 10am and live music and kid things. Then more balloons again at 6pm. Depending on weather depends how many go up.
August 23, 24, 25. Further schedule TBA.
First set of balloons go up around 6am and second set @ 6pm. Depending on the breeze depends on how many go up. If you have never been you may want to pack a cooler of drinks cause once you park it's not easy get in get out. Unless you park down the street and walk. Also if you go to the am may want to eat breakfast first bc the trucks and stuff dont open till 10. There are out houses there for restrooms or you could walk a mile or 2 to.a public one. We walked to McDonalds last before it started and found out its permanently closed, we went bc google maps said it was open. Plan meals drinks and bathrooms. Right after AM balloons go up it starts to get crazy busy and crowded. There is a small train for rides you could use to get back to the car at the end of the day. I think like $3 but it saves on walking. Hope this helps a little, have fun time!
No it's the last weekend in August
Aug 23-25

I didn't notice the skate park when I was there last night. Kids were playing bball. I imagine it is, but not sure.
Call CT lighter than air society and hopefully they can help. I don't know they handle all balloon rides. I don't have their phone number
They usually fill most of the park the launches are something to see. They send up a lot of balloons at 6am
530 to 545am. They start to launch at 6am. Parking today was full by 550am. Sunday May fill up faster.
