We had 5 individual pots and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Meat was fresh, sliced well, tender. Service is prompt throughout the meal, bringing additional meats and veggies and refilling broth. Ma-la broth was great, medium spicy with Szechuan peppercorns, while dropped chilis, and bay leaves (or similar). You can tweak your flavors at the sauce bar that has great variety.

Manger was rude. Used to love going here, normally recommended to families that I serve. Wouldn’t return. Always remember that one person tells ten and those ten tell another ten.

It has gone down hill from what it used to be service wise pre pandemic, and the prices have gone up but I do understand that they have to operate in a way to still make a profit even with inflation.

The broth at Hot Spot is noticeably better than most other local hot pot restaurants. It doesn’t taste watered down. The veggies, seafood and meats are always fresh. My only wish is that they had larger portions of veggies and meats. I understand that it’s all you can eat but it’s a hassle to keep calling them over for refills. However, they are very prompt with their refill orders. Their sauce bar is awesome too. You just have to go and try them.
