Decent place. Needs more space. It's always crowded.

Expensive. Doubled charged for a box spring...Very Rude. Especially lady with the glasses. don't go here. It's right in my neighborhood and I will never go here again!

My next payment due (which is an automatic payment method my husband and I set up) is due April 1st. I keep all receipts and invoices. They randomly come and pick up trash can and recycling can without any notice and when I called to ask where my cans were, I was informed to pay for the next month to get it back, even though next payment wasn’t for another month. This all happened this month and I have a household of 7 people. Completely unprofessional but they are the only trash company around so they know they can get away with abuse of power.

Great place to bring extra recycling, especially card board boxes and batteries. Make sure your load is secure before you drive here. Employees are helpful and nice. Positive attitudes are contagious. We have never had a problem here and we have been using this site as long as we have lived in Kitsap county (about 13 years). Convenient location.

Hi Lynda, Go to kcowa.us/dropoff and click on Rates and Accepted Items.
Has this been updated? Are you able to take cards?
Yes
Great question! No, it's not. It's just too small to be sorted by the machines that sort our recycling. Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com to find a drop-off recycling site or learn how to compost it. There's actually a free shredding event this Saturday (9/22/2018) at The HUB in Belfair. Details here: http://www.lemaymobileshredding.com/community-shred-events
They have scrap metal, recycling and garbage. Make sure to cover your load to avoid extra charge
Hi Jean! We're not recycling trees at Silverdale this year. We want our local composting businesses and tree recycling fundraisers to get them instead! Visit kcowa.us/recyclemytree to see the five tree recycling options in Central Kitsap. You can also cut it up and put it in your food & yard waste container, if you subscribe to the service.
Yes and its free
Yes they do
You have to separate the cardboard into one dumpster but the plastic bottles glass and cans go in one dumpster
No pay for recyclables and it doesn't matter if they are crushed or not.
Hi Marilynn, Yes they do. Limit 10 per day. Visit kcowa.us/drop-off to see a list of all the accepted items.
Yes, but they charge by volume so it will be expensive. I recommend going to Olympic View Transfer Station as they charge by weight instead. Rates online: kcowa.us/dropoff
Depends on the size. Visit the website for fees.
No, they will not take tires at any facility for free.
Hi Pamela. It depends on the type of lightbulb you have. If incandescent or LED, they go in the trash. If a fluorescent tube or CFL bulb (these contains mercury and must be recycled, look for the symbol "Hg") visit LightRecycle.org and type in your zipcode to find a free recycling site near you (limit 10).
Hi Paul, we do not recycle yard debris at the Central Kitsap facility but do accept it as garbage. However, there are private yard waste recyclers in Central Kitsap. Here's a website listing all the yard waste recyclers in the county! Please call them directly to ask about rates and accepted items. https://www.kitsapgov.com/pw/Pages/yardwaste.aspx
No, please don't crush them. Please do rinse them, shake them dry, and replace the cap. The sorting machines sort by shape so crushing them actually makes sorting harder!
We do not. Visit recycle.kitsapgov.com and type "TV" into the search bar to see a list of free recycling sites.
Yes, in the scrap metal container. You can also type "microwave" into the search bar at Recycle.KitsapGov.com for more options.
Yes! Fees and accepted items are online at kcowa.us/dropoff
The county does not haul garbage or recycling. This service is provided by the private company Waste Management. Call 1-800-592-9995 to check on your next collection day or visit wmnorthwest.com/kitsap/ and login to your customer account.
Fees for mattress/box spring/recliner disposal at Silverdale are online at kcowa.us/dropoff.
Hi Omar, this is too large for the Silverdale facility. Look into Kitsap Reclamation (Bremerton), Peninsula Topsoil (Belfair), or Zimmer Pit (Poulsbo). They recycle concrete!
830am - 400pm
I believe the answer is yes. I believe cost is $15 but you may be able to toss in the metal recycle bin for free.
That info is found here: kcowa.us/dropoff
Yes to cardboard that is clean, dry, and flat. We only take these plastics: clean plastic bottles, jugs, jars, and dairy tubs. We recycle by shape in Kitsap County, so ignore the symbol and number on plastics. Not all plastics are recyclable.
No
