Nice easy walk lots of beautiful birds. Lots of parking. We didn't know until we arrived that this is not a dog friendly walk.

Best sunsets ive ever seen ! Tried to find a pull off spot. My lens was going crazy chasing this crazy !" Light orbe",had to stop and try to capture " it". As you see, strange no doubt but gorgeous sunset.

Beautiful walkway, observation decks and boardwalks. Lots of birding opportunities. Yesterday I saw a bald eagle Northern Harrier and a peregrine falcon. There's also many many Shorebirds.

Beautiful bird and natural foliage sanctuary with well-kept wooden paths and lookout points. It is worth the walk from the parking area near the former Lana's Hangar Cafe building, (past the locked vehicle gate) to the trailhead. Limited benches make it harder for those with mobility and endurance concerns to enjoy the full trail. I recommend setting aside up to 2 hr.s for the leisurely walker. Great for families. Yiu may want to bring a stroller for kids under 4 or a walker for kids over 64. Other good items include a hat (or umbrella), sunscreen, water bottle, camera, binoculars and of course, curiosity!

It's mainly just a small walking trail not a whole lot to do as a family outting, although there's used to be a huge eagles nest but I'm not sure if it's still there or not... Just being honest , there's alot more places I'd rather go as far as sight seeing or a good nature walk!!!

Is this trail open to dogs on leash?

No, dogs aren't allowed on the trail itself; it's a very sensitive natural area and an important resting/feeding stop for migrating birds. It's one of just a few places along the entire US west coast that arctic shorebirds return to annually, so it's important to keep it safe and welcoming for them.
