I go in often to purchase items. Since they have updated the computer system quiet often the card reader is down and unless you have cash on you , no purchase can be made. It is totally ridiculous!!! The company needs to do something about this. I forgot today to have cash with me just in case so I wasn’t able to get what I needed.

Super friendly staff but the shelves were almost empty due to lack of stocking. I don't know if they just were out of stock of everything or if they just hadn't gotten around to stocking the shelves but I've never seen a Dollar General more barren than this one... I overheard a lady asking if the store was moving locations (I'm assuming due to the lack of stock on the shelves)& the cashier said "no we're not moving". They seem like they may be understaffed and honestly from Reading other people's reviews, this has been a trend for the last several years. They really need to do something about this store and soon because this is the only Dollar General for quite a few miles if you're in Mount Pleasant. If you can travel the distance I would suggest going further down towards Columbia there's one near Food Lion that is at least well stocked if not extremely clean. But I've had quite a bit of trouble recently with that particular store as well so options are starting to be a little slim when it comes to Dollar General stores that are worth even going into.

Dollar General used to be the place to go but after stopping by yesterday I have to change my review. The prices are not lower anymore, like $18.00 for 1 t-shirt? outrageous! You would be better off going to Wal-Mart! And it's not just the shirts that are way over priced, I really looked around and even their offhand items were as high as name brand at Kriegers or Wal-Mart. I'm srry but it's just not worth the stop anymore.

Mt. Pleasant Dollar General is the worst dollar stores I've ever been in. I shop there bout 4 times a week & every time I go they r out of something I need. Shelves r empty. Stock is always in the way where u can't get down isles.
