Small portions dry meet okra over cooked doesn't deserve one star

I wanted to like this local BBQ joint, but the food is sub-par. I was in Hohenwald for work and decided to drop by a local establishment rather than a fast-food place for lunch. The people in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. I felt very welcomed. However, the food wasn't what I expected. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries. The BBQ sandwich was served on a nicely toasted bun, but had the texture of old, dry and re-heated in a microwave meat. It was hotter than it should be when served, and cooled off much too quickly. Not a whole lot of meat on the sandwich. The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned, but had the hint of freezer burn. Not fresh. The hot BBQ sauce was flavorful - I used it on the sandwich and dipped my frys in it too. So sorry - I wanted to recommend this place, but I was disappointed with my visit.

Stopped in Hohenwald today to get a bite to eat because we were out on delivery by there and there's not very many choices in town. Ordered the barbecue nachos and they were absolutely terrible! Who puts pork and beans on nachos? They were the most god-awful nachos I've ever even could imagine! I couldn't even taste the pulled pork. It was absolutely horrible, not to mention the meal plus drink cost me $13. I ordered a sweet tea and she never asked me if I wanted lemon she asked everybody else that came after me. At least a linen could have disguise the god-awful taste of the beans and what they're calling pulled pork. I'll never be back but I encourage everybody to not go to this place because the food was what was awful! How they survive through the pandemic only God knows.
