I LOVE this place! One of the most peaceful and relaxing places to be. It is perfect if you are a fisherman or a bike rider. Over the years, I have stayed here many times with friends and family. The cabins are rustic and not updated but they are clean. This is an old Florida fish camp! I enjoy the quaintness of it. It reminds of the Florida that I grew up with. If you visit St. Marks, I highly recommend staying here. I look forward to visiting again in the near future. Please never go away!

My husband and I went here for the first time to bike ride with a group of friends. We instantly fell in love with the fish camp and the friendliest of the people. We stayed in one of the modular units. We only stayed two nights, but with good accommodations, clean bedding and great water pressure in shower with plenty of hot water and great food from surrounding restaurants our stay at the camp was so enjoyable and we're looking forward to many more years of visits. As many reviews have mentioned it's not a 5 star hotel, but in my opinion it's definitely a pleasantly laid back kinda vacation life that surpasses the busy life of the 5 star high rise hotels. Thank you for the memories and God willing we'll see you next year. Cyndi and David

I’m not a fisherman but this has to be a paradise for anyone who is. The fish camp is a slice of Old Florida and the atmosphere is amazing. The cabins are old and the decor is outdated but the experience of staying there is wonderful. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place (find a hotel or B&B nearby) but if you want old world charm and the experience of a simpler life in days gone by, Shell Island Fish Camp is the perfect place.

Extensive damage
They offer two pet friendly motel rooms. Call and ask them
They were flooded terribly. They were closed for some time rebuilding, and are still in the middle of it. They are open now and phones are working.
Hello, I am not with shell island fish camp so i cannot answer for them. The cell service is spotty at best and the pics I saw after the storm showed several feet of water 2 blocks from st marks river. They are a nice group of folks so I feel once they can contact you they will. Jeremy
Don't know, call down there, cheaper then u think
If you use their guides, the fishing license fee is included. If not, then you must purchase a license....3 day permit is around 17.00 for out of state...since I go to Fla multiple times a year, I buy a yearly license....around 47.00 fee
It would be best to call them, Great folks but doubt if they monitor this Google page
