I don't understand why I have these issues. They literally acted like they just dont want to help or I was being judged because I'm going through a rough time. First, they said to come today and they would help with 300$, mind you that's all they said, didn't say "bring a stack of paperwork and a letter from the landlord". So that's the first thing, obviously the lease yes but I had no clue about having to have a letter as well as proof of trying to get help elsewhere. Joseph house and salvation army are the only two places that help, so that doesn't make sense to me. Social services doesn't even have the budget to pay full amounts of food assistance, let alone help with rent (their words). This tore me down to my core, having a full time job and 5 kids is rough. But what's even rougher is when social services cuts your food stamps because they're also struggling and someone that told you would help, now cannot or will not (haven't had a call back yet) because there was a mistake in information on their part.

Don't KNOW about if THERE is a location in DC .... " Maybe, YOU could contact your local Social Services and ask what type of Local Agencies THERE are in YOUR AREA ...
The Christmas Stuff is being distributed at the Joseph HOUSE on December 19th, 20th, or 21st between the Hours of 8AM and 11AM .... You were supposed to have signed up before November 30th .....
