I love this place. It's not like other community food banks. It's a garden growing fresh veggies, it's a sack lunch at the thrift stores that pay for the food bank and garden. It's an actually grocery store where I can pick out the things I eat and like. It gives you back your feeling of worth. They are always so helpful and patient and kind here to everyone. I honestly don't ever go to any other food bank now even if I'm starving I go to the Good Cheer where there place the people and their mission all truly fit their name.

Love this community service; good volunteer opportunities as well as lots of love for the dear people of South Whidbey.

Good Cheer in the 1970s I Ibought 4 hand made quilts that day for Christmas presents for our children. I also bought the first Whidbey Island Recipe specialties cook book from the Good Cheer Store. I still use it, and have in the past, met several of the people who gave their recipes for the book. " the pie crust recipe from Chrissy Burrier is the best ever!' I would love to be able to buy another "older cook book" to give to my daughter, as I just can't part with mine, it's like a 'old best friend' for me. Thank you for all you do for our community, then and now.

This innovative food bank is a life saver, the volunteers always make clients feel good. The selection is fabulous. There are free books for the kids to take or trade. Always have a cup a soup, the recipes are delicious.
