I had a very important package supposed to be delivered, but the delivery lady refused to drop it off because she saw my 14 year old blind and deaf springer spanial. Pathetic

The two men there are so sweet and funny. I wouldn't dream of dropping off my packages anywhere else. 🤭

Mail delivery is pretty good. If you deliver a package though, ring the door bell or knock - don't just leave a note, "we missed you" when I was home, 30 feet from the door all day. Have it on our security camera that the mail carrier already had the slip filled out with, "missed you" walked up to the porch and just threw the slip in the mail basket and walked away. Also, use the sidewalk please! I have a game trail through my front lawn due to the mail carrier. Updated from two to three stars: Post master was very understanding and helpful, ensuring a special consideration for me to get the package and to address the employee.

A few weeks ago our postal carrier refused to deliver a package because it was sprinkling rain and took it back to the office. He won’t come to our porch because our front door has a doggy door installed from the house owners dogs lived here. After a great conversation with the postal manager we set out a big, lidded container for packages and blocked the unused dog door. Today, it poured rain. The postal carrier still won’t come to the porch so left this package in the rain at about 11am. We found it this evening at 5pm when we got home from work.

Your best bet is to go to the post office and talk to the postmaster there or at least a supervisor to discuss the issue.

To be safe, no later than 4:30 I'd think.
Linda - I'm assuming you are asking if you can mail this item? It will depend on the weight and how you close it. Normally the USPS requires the open ends to be shut with circular, glued dots that you can purchase at a store like Staples. I guess stapling is another method of closure but you can't do that at the Post Office.
