Dealing with CarMax online and through their phone system was absolutely a horrible experience. No one ever knew the status of my order from one customer service person to the next. My vehicle was shipped back and forth and missed scheduled viewing times several occasions. So much so, that CarMax ended up refunding my shipping charges. It was so frustrating that I nearly cancelled my order altogether and went with another company. The only reason why I didn't was because I wanted that particular vehicle. However, dealing with actually people at the CarMax store was a bit more pleasurable experience.

They had us walk the entire lot looking for a car they said they had. After 20 minutes, the sales guy went back in to see where it was. He didn't come back out so we went in. Then he told us the car was in the Mobile location. Not impressed
