It is a good store. I do not agree with their new policy that customers may no longer return or exchange any type of clothing/shoes due to Codid-19. We are forced to keep items we can't use, as I cannot return 2 items I can't use. I think customers should be aware they are shopping at their own risk, lower prices & in some circumstances be offered a gift card until this pandemic is under control. And all customers should be warned of this new policy before any of those items are purchased!! The cashier said I'm sorry to so many customers when I was close enough to hear. I told him I don't think he should apologize for he didn't place the policy.

When I’m at the “Register “ don’t ask if I’m ready ! I wouldn’t be standing at the register if I weren’t ready! . She should had said, be right with you ma’am . There should be someone at the registers at all times not all in the stores doing stocking and you stand there waiting for someone to show up . I’m usually in there 2 to 3 times a week . There was a nice young black woman at the register that made me feel absolutely wonderful by checking out with her and being very pleasant during check out .I also expressed how nice it was that she was so polite and nice. Perhaps a few of them need to take lead from her on customer service. But I’ve also noticed how they’re always got stock all in the isles and it’s hard to maneuver a basket in and out of the isles . And perhaps take some consideration to the customer to have someone out a register rather than waiting on the lady that’s coming through and I’ll doing stocking .

Store is too cluttered and the reason is clear. Not enough employees. Those poor girls working at night, were overworked and being taken advantage of by the company. They were kindly offering to help me, even when I could see they were rushing to complete their tasks. Why wouldn't there be more staff to help unpack boxes and stock shelves? The store was very busy, even though it was nearly closing time on a Friday, payday for many customers. There was no way these women were going home anytime soon. Working retail is tough and I appreciate their hard work. I saw the reviews and many others see the same issue with clutter and boxes. Management should stay to help or call in extra help. Obvious efforts made by employees to organize quickly. I hope that Dollar General will consider the situation and fix it, not tell the employees to work harder. Great deals and nice people.
