10 out of 10 I would not recommend living here. The only thing I enjoy about this complex is the location is close to the freeway. I have lived here since July and have had issues since the beginning. The reviews are true, maintenance takes forever to fix things. The only thing they do on time is collect rent. This place is not suitable for residents, they lack proper staffing, customer service, follow through, attention to detail and honesty in the words of my roommate, “they should not be adding new residents when they can’t take care of the ones they already have.” This place can be good but it needs a lot of work. Here are just some of our issues we have had 1. Before moving in I was trying to call and made multiple attempts to the office so that I could either have access to the residence portal to pay and could not get through. Red flag 1 2. Our unit was not properly cleaned nor when we moved in, we also had broken cabinets, drawers, leaks, My bathroom drain was clogged from a previous clients hair. We moved in July and the AC had not been turned on. 3. We waited over a month for our dryer to get fixed. We were told they were waiting on a part and couldn’t swap it out or replace it until the part came due to protocol. 4. we we’re wrongly charged even though we provided proof of renters insurance, I called and went up to the office multiple times. The price that we agreed to in our rent was different than the rent price on our bill, we were told the “taxes were not included” 5. Our washer machine still leaks and we were told it is normal, we should be concerned if it doesn’t. 6. There were other grievances like not having access to mail, having to pay the apartment fees for locker pickup for your mail and packages, and having to pay the locker app as well. We had to go to the post office for awhile to pick up our mail, outages, there just seems to always be something with this property. Honestly this place is made of cheap materials that break often and take forever to fix. The residents who have lived here are not disgruntled, the reviews are true

Lived here for over 10 years. It’s been good up until recently when it became Avana, taken over by Greystar. Right now, the only good thing I have to say about this place is the location is great. Otherwise, it was really not good living there. Waited for the lease renewal, instead met with an impersonal email, followed by a phone call “we’re not renewing your lease. You have until this date to move out or we’ll pursue legal action” (makes you feel valued, doesn’t it). The leasing agent who called stated, after I said this is all coming as a shock “look. Don’t get mad at me. I don’t make the decision”. Their suggestion was I could move to another suite on-site BUT would have to start the whole thing all over again as if I were a first time renter, pay all initial feels all over again. They want to renovate so they can charge A LOT MORE for rent. Maintenance requests are an absolute nightmare. My washing machine died in mid-cycle. It literally took 5 weeks and multiple phone calls, emails to get it done. The standing water in the machine smelled awful and was covered in mold. One of the many phone calls about this resulted in “we’ll get to it when we get to it. But nobody wants to work anymore”. Routine maintenance issues take at least a week. Maintenance staff is too busy renovating other suites where others were also kicked out, to quickly get to routine maintenance requests. The AC is a problem, dies and needs repair every single summer. The AC constantly leaks and drips during monsoon season when the humidity goes up, have to put bowls on the floor under the leak to catch the water. If you call the leasing office, most likely you’ll reach their national call centre who then forwards your message to the office. They might get back to in 3 or 4 days. This place looks great on the outside, location is fantastic. But. That’s literally about it. As much as it sucks to move because you’re essentially being kicked out, glad to get away from here. Save yourself a headache and move elsewhere where you’re treated like a human being. Also, don’t leave stuff in your car overnight. My car had been broken into a few times over the last few years. Window smashed out, stuff stolen.

Staff is terrible at answering calls and getting back to residents!!! Very very POOR customer service. Pools are never clean and taken care of resulting in closure for most of the year! You pay for all the amenities but never get to use them due to lack of upkeep. Would not recommend!!

Absolute garbage dumpster of a community. Prices are outrageous, promises of maintenance and when they do show up the problem is never solved. Make sure to document everything and anything that might be wrong with your apartment otherwise they will charge you for damages even if it is not true. Money hungry grey star management and their practices border on unethical.
