Linda is truly the most caring and considerate lady here. She always makes me feel comfortable and constantly goes out of her way to make sure my teeth feel good. Other than just making sure my teeth look and feel good, Linda is always caring about how I’m doing and the biggest thing I love is she takes her time with me and never rushes me out the door!!

I have been working with Dr. Hodges on my smile since 2016. I recently had my braces removed and the results are incredible! Getting braces as an adult was tough but I trusted Dr. Hodges and her expertise and I am glad I did. Her office staff is helpful as well, they work with you in every way through the entire process. I love my new smile and will always be grateful for Dr. Hodges and her skill set on getting me the results I wanted. I highly recommend her practice for children and adult dentistry.

In our office, the consultation is free of charge. We offer low monthly payment plans with no interest to cover the cost of braces, and we accept most insurances. It is our desire to make a beautiful smile affordable and accessible to as many as possible.
You’re never too old to improve your smile! As a matter of fact, many in the profession are recommending that their patients expect to wear braces twice in a lifetime; once in adolescence and once again in middle age. Adult orthodontics is very common also to maintain long-term oral health.
The dental profession recommends that children be assessed for orthodontic intervention at seven years of age. This orthodontic evaluation will assess dental development and any problems with health, proper function or cosmetics of the teeth.
Patients who do not wish to wear traditional metal braces may benefit from alternative treatment. At our practice, we offer: Invisalign®, fast acting adult braces (FAAB), Wilckodontics®, and “retainers only” treatment.
To maintain the results of treatment, it is crucial to wear a retainer until your bite stabilizes. This is especially important during the first month after your braces come off, as the risk of relapse is extremely high at this time. For the first year or two, your doctor may recommend wearing your retainer every night. After this point, you may be able to reduce your wear to a few times a week.
Patients who wear traditional braces will need to steer clear of certain foods while undergoing treatment. This includes crunchy foods such as ice, hard candy, and peanut brittle, as well as sticky foods such as caramel and taffy.
The frequency of your appointments will be determined by your specific, unique needs. In most cases, visits will be scheduled every five to 10 weeks. If you require more frequent monitoring, appointments will be planned accordingly.
Any time the teeth are moved, some discomfort is typical. Therefore, patients generally feel some soreness when the braces are first applied and when they are adjusted. Fortunately, these side effects are temporary and fade away within a few days.
Even if a child's teeth appear straight, there could be a number of hidden alignment issues affecting bite function and oral health. Therefore, the best way to determine if your child needs braces is to schedule a visit with an orthodontist.
Absolutely! Braces are not just for kids anymore. Candidates for adult orthodontics must have healthy supporting bone and are free from extensive tooth decay and periodontal disease. If these issues are present, your doctor will recommend restorative treatments to prepare you for braces.
Because each patient has a unique set of orthodontic needs, treatment times can vary substantially for every individual. On average, most patients can achieve their desired results in about 22 months or less. However, if you have severe misalignment, treatment could take longer.
Thank you for your question Tania! Yes, we are open every Monday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Thank you for your question Ellen! As Renee mentioned, we offer free consultations. Visit one of our Philadelphia area offices to meet with our orthodontists so you can find out how many sets of trays you'll need, how long treatment is projected to last, and what your cost would be with or without insurance.
