I got an appointment and breezed by about forty people in line waiting for walk in. Get An Appointment, it's not hard. I came in early, they got to me before the appt. Got enhanced id fast. Get an appointment or you may stand all day outside and get nothin. Did I mention you should book an appointment?
Albert Tan
No Walk In after 4pm. Called a few times but no one pick up the phone, forth time hung up the call. As told by the staff that the number appeared in the website is not the office number, said no one able to access the number, please remove the phone number that appeared in the website if no one answering the phone please.
Katie
This office seems to go to great length to prevent crowding indoors...so a "walk in" without the long wait outdoors and indoors is nearly impossible and the appointments are booked at least a week out. So if you need something urgent, be prepared to spend the day standing outside [in the rain] by the door. In the meantime, online licence renewal doesn't work and forces you to go to the office. When I mentioned this to an employee, he said "yeh, our website resources are not perfect". "Not perfect"? They just plain DON'T WORK! That's very different from "not perfect", wouldn't you say?! So if you really want to minimize crowds (and care about not keeping people outside in the rain all day in line), I'd say, fix the online services! Specifically "license renewal" which got stuck on the "registration" page every time I've made an attempt to renew online (and I've made many before going to the office).

You need to book an appointment well in advance. That’s really my only issue. I needed an ID fairly quickly but the earliest appointment wasnt for another 3 weeks. Staff was kind and got in and out within 30 minutes

54 dollars to renew your driver's license and fees are added if you pay by card. 2 dollars for debit card and 3 dollars for credit card.
For those that are still asking this question... you should look this up on the state website as it changes and answers here may become out of date.
You can try online or go in person.
Your license will be 54 and the enhanced will be an additional 24. To renew your license it will be a total of 78. The doors open at 7:30am
So this is old but worth answering. It's posted in the dol site. It should be proof of person , proof of citizenship, proof of address. So I brought a driver's license, passport, official notarized birth cert just in case, and the actual title to my car. Also a bill, just in case. ALL had the same address.
$20 to replace a lost or stolen ID.
Wait times vary. Even with an appointment, you could wait 20-30 minutes to get to a counter because more people are being allowed in. However, appointments do get priority over walk-ins and if all you need is a replacement card without any changes, that's an express service. Please note, if you need a replacement EDL due to travel plans, you only get a temporary paper document which is NOT accepted at airports or border crossings. The card can take 2-4 weeks to arrive.
This location is not closed.
No ,without appointment you can't
This would be my 1st re new sooo I should be fine on the website then?
No.
Thank you for your service! Should be like $5 if anything at all..
yes
Not that I'm aware of
Yes but. Nothing that is impossible.
Yes, by appointment only
That is strange, since when you are examined and approved, after an appointment where they ask for all your documentation, they give you a provisional ID and then the original arrives at your house.
The Lynnwood DOL is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
try to update address online if possible
Yes, but the chance of getting in without an appointment depends on how busy the office is at the time. If it is busy, you will have the option to wait in a standby line outside without a guarantee that you will be served.
At minimum, bring your SSC.
They take walk ins again I just made appointment because I didn't know they were taking walk ins your welcome
Yes, although, you have to make an appointment on line, which it can be done with your phone! While waiting outside!
Actually, the Lynnwood office is open Tuesday through Saturday. Setting an appointment is the best way to get a replacement ID.
For issuing driver licenses, the state needs passing scores for both the written knowledge test AND the physical driving skills exam. Whether those scores come from a private driving school, the drivers Ed program offered at your high school, or done through the state, those scores are required to get your license.
make an appointment if you dont want to be there all day
Make an appointment and go there. They will tell you how to do it. If the appointment phone does not work, go there and either make an appointment OR they will hook you up with what you need.
Create a license express account and u can book an appointment to renew in person
Go-to dol site and u can book an appointment https://www.dol.wa.gov/appointments/index.html
Yes!
ID need
It might be an accident. You should have picked up before leaving. Go back tomorrow and entry person can help you.
If you don't have a photo permit you need an appointment. Look at other offices, more keep opening.
Drivers license Q&A can be found at dol.wa.gov/driverslicense
You cannot, you have to make an appointment at license express and they schedule you a day to go
You would have to call as we do not work for WA DOL.
Start here: https://www.dol.wa.gov/
You best bet is to keep trying. We are not DOL employees.
No appointment only
The easiest way is to go online. You can get a replacement, print out a temporary and the card with be mailed to you.
Open, but appointment only. No walk-ins. Starting June 29-july 25th it's Monday - thur.
Yes you do
No. To reinstat your license yourself just need to have everything taken care of. It can be a wide range of things. You'll need to check to see.
By appointment only for CDL Knowledge test all other business is online.
If it's a Washington state ID card, and it's your address you can correct it online ,if your name is incorrect, you'll need to make an appointment, bring in a passport, birth certificate, or federal issued ID and they will correct it.
Orginal permit is 25$. First time license , after all test are passed, is 89$
If your Arizona drivers license is still current when you come in. Then you don't need to retest. If the out of state license is expired, then you will need to retest. You do have to have proof of Washington address/residency to change your Arizona license to Washington.
For a Washington state driver's license you have to pass our written knowledge test and our driving skills test. The driver license is good for 6 years. If you are looking for a temporary international driver license we do not have any to do with that.
Check with your local vehicle licensing office; the two departments are separate entities in WA. This office just does driver licenses and ID cards. Hi, Andrea!
89$ for a transfer, for just the drivers license. This price doesn't include the enhanced or motorcycle or commercial
This office only test on Wednesday. It will be closed this week due to the 1st. You can try a drive school.
Yes. On Wednesdays 730am-4pm. You must be on a test station by 4. Recommend showing up no later then 3.
Thanks and one? What is the cost?
Yeah... i had the same issue lol
If you go to the Washington state dol website. It's super easy, user friendly. If you remember your license number you simply type that in along with some verification of you are who you say you are. Find the option/link to reinstate your license and it'll tell you exactly what you need to do. Whether you had a dui, it'll tell what classes you have to take. Or if it just expired and you haven't had the time to renew it. It'll just tell you what you have to pay. If it's been a while you might have to take the knowledge and driving test again. Good luck Josh. I hope this helped.
Only if you've taken and passed a Knowledge Test first. Or if you're enrolled in a driver-training class.
Look on your license--the lower-right corner.
Go to the office in person or try online. FYI: One can only renew a permit two times.
Yes.
No. Come on a Wednesday (only Wednesday), preferably before 1:30 because it gets busy. Bring one of the following: your state ID, a certified birth certificate, or passport. You may need more documents to get the permit issued but not to take the test. If you're a minor, bring the birth certificate and the parent who's listed on the document.
If you have the required documents or combination of documents, yes. Visit dol.wa.gov to learn what they are.
No. However, you need to bring four documents minimum. Please visit the official DOL website to find out which they are, and also carefully read what the criteria for those documents are.
Technically, yes, but it depends on how many times you've renewed it previously. If this will be your first time, then yes; however, you have a second chance to renew it before taking the Knowledge Test again. If this will be the third time, you must take the KT again in order to get your permit issued again.
VETERAN is inscribed on the bottom right corner.
Preferably some other form of photo ID, but it's easier if you know your SSN.
The Knowledge Test, yes; the Skills Test (actual driving), no. All testing, however, is done on Wednesdays only.
Depends on how many years are left on your license because it is $4 per year prorated. Therefore, for example, if you have two years left, you will only pay $8; but when you renew, you will pay the full amount of $78 ($54 license renewal fee + $24 EDL fee).
yes
If you've taken and passed the knowledge test, you come to the Licensing Office and schedule the skills test in person. The fee is $35.
You can get your permit at the DOL. You must either be enrolled into a drive school and have a waiver on file or have taken the knowledge test and passed.
Is it necessary for the appointment to take a knowledge test?
I got mine for 54$ minus the knowledge and skill test
You just need your driver license and $13; no other paperwork necessary.
No. Only permanent residents.
Only on Wednesdays.
Its 54$.
No. Bring her original birth certificate along with your license/state ID.
No. In person; Wednesdays only.
to schedule a skills (driving) test, yes; for all else, walk-in only.
It cost $89.00 to transfer your license to Washington State!!!! That's ridiculous.
Alot of time! Don't go to Tim, most vile man I have ever not wanted to meet!
If u go to 911 driving its 30 and they get 3 tries, thats where I went
Your social security card, 1 or 2 proof of address, and your out of state dl. And when they give you a wa state dl, they will put ONE hole in the upper right corner.
How much does it cost to renew an enhanced drivers license? What documents do I need to bring with me?
Because they are open Saturday for our convenience.
At this very location, but they only do it Wednesdays
If you have already the driving licence you have to take only the eye test if you don't have them you might have to ask inside because i don't know all the information you might be able to take all in one day if there is not allot of people. You don't need appointment only for driving test yes and it cost $54/6years
I don't think DMV can help with that you just have to report it to police and let the matter get resolved.
You only need your old driver license & a document verifying your current address like an old bill or apartment rental agreement. Present that to the front desk person and they'll transfer the info onto their computer system, then ask you to verify the info. Thereafter you get your photo taken and a temporary card is issued. Your actual card will be sent to you via mail like a week later. I think there are 2 fees. I remember paying the fees with my check, ~$95. I hope this helps.
I believe is is only $25
Wednesdays
Last time I checked, they only test on Wednesdays. So I'm pretty sure you need an appointment.
for driving test, I believe you can only take it on Wednesdays at the Lynnwood location.
