This place is the worst. They send bills. I’m never paying. They made my condition worse. I endured 5 days at Sante before discharging myself. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it seemed like nobody was even there. Eventually we called and got a nurse to come down and check me in. I took a quick Covid test and the nurse said “Okay you can come in but your family cannot, due to Covid precautions.” So I gave hugs and kisses to my wife and kids and said my goodbyes. I had planned on staying at Sante for 30-45 days (so did my wife per the intake worker, Amanda’s recommendation. I was taken to the nurse’s station for intake. Lee, who registered me in searched through all my stuff and even searched my truck. He confiscated lotion (because alcohol was the 5th ingredient), chargers, cologne from my truck, an iPod touch because it was able to connect to the internet. Lee told me they didn’t allow MP3 players that connected to WiFi because some other patient was communicating with family. I was immediately moved into a residential room because I went through detox at another hospital. My roommate was asleep at 6:30 in the evening and woke up when I arrived and immediately started saying how much he hated the place and was about to check out. So the first night wasn’t very comfortable or assuring. Next day I mostly wondered around not really knowing what anything was because nobody gave me a tour. I eventually found myself around the place and will wrap up this review. 1.There seems to be very little organization regarding my treatment plan or what I was suppose to be doing. 2. They won’t allow you to have any toiletries with alcohol as an ingredient so I didn’t have shower gel or lotion because they were afraid I would drink my lotion. But they will allow you to bring in 3 cartons of cigar and give you 11 smoke breaks each day but no way of buying more cigarettes. I found another patient that sold cigarettes. He walked around the place like a drug dealer and never went to any classes. They give you tickets when you miss a class or group. My roommate had 28 tickets before he checked out on my 4th day. 3. I mainly walked around the place like a ghost even though I went to every class and group after I got my personal schedule. Most of the other patients had been there for over 30-60 days and it felt like a summer camp because there were patients dating each other and having sex at night because they had men staying the women's residences. I think they probably wanted me to stay 60-90 days because my insurance was paying $750/day ($22,500 per month). In summary, I just never was able to get comfortable at Sante. I made some friends and truly would’ve stayed there for 30-45 days. Sam, my case manager, didn’t really seem to care what I did or how I felt. Lee in the nurses station seemed to have something against me. He took my MP3 player and when my sister brought me another one he confiscated the charger so I couldn’t even use it. The food was absolutely terrible. On Tuesday and Thursday for breakfast they serve fruit with sliced cheese and deli meat and some cereals. The warm breakfast was almost like something you microwave to heat up. They really seem to go slow with treatment so they can get you stay there as long as possible. They have 3 levels of patients that come with more “benefits” the higher you go. It’s like when you get there you’re a peasant. Then you stay a month and become a noble and get more phone time. And finally you can be a royal and you get to go off campus to meetings. Most of my time there I felt the overall staff/ patient feeling was immature

This place is absolutely detestable. My wife was in their voluntarily. For $50k they treat it like a prison. She gets 1 ten minute call per day. There is no telling what time that call might be. If you miss the call and you call back immediately it goes to their main phone line. They will not connect you to the person who literally called you 5 seconds ago, but they let you leave a “voicemail”…which never gets sent to them. Don’t waste you money on this place.

Very grateful I sought treatment here. I stayed here for several months in 2017--for substance use, self-harm, and an eating disorder--and I am still clean and abstinent. I learned so many things during my time here that I still utilize and think about to this day. I am actually in grad school now for clinical mental health counseling, and this wouldn't have been possible without Sante. I even got awarded a scholarship from Sante to help me in my studies. I'm really, really hoping I get to do my clinical internship here. This is such an amazing place that fosters healing, growth, and compassion. The therapists are highly trained and specialized, the curriculum is research-based and specific to client needs, and the sense of community here is unmatched. I only put 4 stars and not 5 for some experiences I had at their IOP level of care. But the good experiences I had while in residential completely overshadow that. I would recommend Sante to anyone.

When I was broken and didn't have any place to go Sante took me in gave me a safe place. A week into treatment I get a call saying my insurance stopped payment. Sante worked with me and helped me work a financial plan to keep me there to get the help I needed. Today I am approaching 3 years sobriety and look forward to the Alumni meetings. God bless the people at Sante for the personalized treatment and one on one attention. Thank you.
