It's a beautiful, well maintained place. It's for seniors, seeking independent living, folks who reside here still want to live and enjoy life on their own terms. They have a kind and friendly team who are willing to help you, keep you abreast of what's going on, and also occasionally give its residents special treats, special gatherings "That's always nice" and helps to keep our community strong & united, after all we All do live here, together, it's a place we call Home. What is real important to me though, is safety. Safety warrants importance to the Evergreen Staff also. They are very vigilant and make it known that this is a safe place to live, in fact a few of the residents living here for some years, over 5 years say the same thing, it's a safe place to live. I tend to ask a lot of specific questions as I can be curios about certain things and choose to ask those who experience those things living here. There are no door knobs here, everyone who is a resident enters and leaves electronically, u must have "its not a key" but when shown it opens all the doors u will need to get into any place in the facility. I forget what you call it "this is a senior moment" ha! ha! I'ts a clicker, I just remembered after about 45 minutes Oh well! No other persons can enter without being invited by someone who lives here. You are either a guest or you have business here, no one else gets in, ever! I call that real safety, it certainly makes me feel protected, and at ease! Folks seem nice and welcoming. They want to know who you are and give you the space initially u may need or request without interference. For most people this is a new endeavor and it can take time to get blended in with new friends. For others not so much time may be needed, however it's what your needs deserve. I also appreciate that! I'm a slower blend myself, if you get my drift! Now that seems like independence, in living. I'd say! You see, we seniors feel and see more identified lost in our lives as we age, " they call that thing getting older too!, atleast some of us do. It's difficult because we used to be, the Big CALHOUN! WE know how to do that, oh so well. Be in charge some of us do anyway. Things do change, nothing really stays the same in this circle of life. However we prefer change at a slower pace SO you all "family, friends confidants, etc take it nice, easy and slow on us, if possible. *There is no sense in writing if it can't be fun and some laughter, sometime! Got It* *Just needed to add that in! Probably should have made that my last paragraph, Got ahead of myself, as usual, ask my daughter, she'll tell U 4 sure! Laugh out Loud if u dare! There are others who seek more, that's okay too and also can be found here "BBF's" best friends forever or also known as besties!! I simply adore living here!
