Refrigerant provides the proper charge to manipulate the temperature of the air that is taken into the system so that it is cool and comfortable as it is pushed through the vents.
Dryer vent cleaning is necessary because the lint trap in your dryer doesn't capture all the lint produced when drying your clothes. As time goes by lint builds up on the inside of the vents. Dryers heat up to extremely high temperatures and thus, they pose a fire hazard.
Reasons to have your air ducts cleaned include, but are not limited to, filters getting dirty too quickly, dirt/dust around the vents, visible mold growth, inconsistent airflow, unexplained respiratory problems, etc.
