Staff was friendly, multiple bathrooms on each floor. Parking can be a pain. Their a parking lot directly behind the library that is $11 after 6pm

If you are reading or studying this library isn't for you. I love reading. Most libraries require people to whisper. There isn't a room just for people who want to read in peace. There are lots of homeless people in the library. Everyone must be welcomed in the library but everyone should be required to refrain from talking and listening to loud music.

Closes at 5pm and closed on weekends. Can’t take any kids here after school because it’s not open, or I’m still working. What’s the point of being open when everyone is working?

It’s a beautiful library but its usefulness is severely reduced by its limited opening hours—only 9-5 Monday-Friday. Good luck getting there if you have a job.

Yes
It seems no, Wednesday seems promising however, according to the street parking tab from thr free library website for this location: "Parking kiosks are available on the streets surrounding the library. In addition to coins, bills and credit cards may be used for payment at these devices. The device issues a printed ticket you place inside your windshield curbside. Free Meter Parking on Wednesdays PPA offers FREE meter parking in Center City after 5 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, except for rush-hour zones, which are free after 6:30 p.m. The boundaries are from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River and from Bainbridge to Spring Garden Streets." I use septa route 32 connecting with City Hall/Suburban Station for front door drop off and 33 for pickup :). See SEPTA android app or website for real-time schedule
