Fantastic library with helpful staff. I use this as one of my WFH getaways. For those upset over the book selection you can order books in / place holds through their website.

The masking rule is not enforced in any way. Pay your workers more so they're willing to ask people to put a mask on.

Cozy library, bright, the hours are perfect and open later than most. The kids area is fun for children to play. My children enjoy searching the shelves throughout the library. We especially enjoy the curbside pick up and hold service at the library. Checking out books is super convenient and makes going a breeze.

This library is a magical place. My family and I love it. The play area is nice, there are a lot of engaging toys and activities, my 5yo always has a great time. The staff are fantastic, and they are amazing with my kiddo. And I love that the Ferndale library has laptop computers you can check out to use in the library! It makes it easy to work or study when I need to keep an eye on my kid in the play area.

Hi Jennifer, Please give the Ferndale Library a call at (360) 384-3647 or stop in to talk to staff about this. Thanks, Neil McKay Online Experience Coordinator Whatcom County Library System
Library buildings are currently closed to the public to further reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The Ferndale Library is currently offering curbside pickup of library materials and curated “to-go” bags of books, DVDs, board games and magazines. Please let us know how we can help you.
Yes, all our branches have printers that patrons can use. You can even email your print job in to the library and pick it up at curbside to save time. Call your local branch to arrange document printing and pickup. Or reserve computer time to write and print documents at the library. Time on computers is limited, based on availability.
I have never been on Sunday, but according to the website it is open from 1 pm to 5 pm.
