Had an absolutely amazing time with the Western Prince team, we got lucky to see a humpback whale, a minke whale, and my all time favorite a puffin bird! We were out on the water for about 3 hours and had a great time. JB and Elah were a fantastic team and super knowledgeable. The boat we took was really fast and allowed us to cover a ton of water looking for all kinds of different wildlife. Would recommend these guys to anyone visiting the islands looking for a great eagle watching tour!

Literal dream come true. I hoped that I would see a whale on my own in the wild…but alas, after 5 years living in Washington, nada. I had to trust the experts to bring me this experience and Ivan w/Western Prince did just that. I also am someone who gets incredibly motion sick… and I used their arm wraps and it worked perfectly. What we saw today still brings tears to my eyes. These whales are incredible. Beautiful. Not to be taken for granted. If you want an experience you won’t forget, do this tour. Also, our naturalist was Elah and she was wonderful ❤️

Overall good experience. We did see a humpback whale, a few mink-whales and some sea lions. Unfortunately, we didn't see any orcas. Guide and driver were nice. Boat was comfortable and clean. I would recommend this company again.

What an amazing experience! Note- this is a rough ride at times. If you’re anxious about open water and choppy conditions, this might be a rough (but FRICKIN FUN) ride! Ivan took us out to the Boiling Reef after a while of no sightings of whales. The wait was worth it- a humpback and her baby were hanging around. Along the way we saw sea lions, 9 bald eagles, all kinds of bird species, deer and rams. The scenery is breathtaking. At a point we had some really rough chop and the boat had a few rollercoaster drops (fun and slightly terrifying). Katie (our naturalist) is such a delightful host and answered all our questions and was so helpful at pointing out stuff we might miss. This was such a fun ADVENTURE and I can’t wait to come back again in the summer.

We did buy our tour via internet as there was just one tour and we didn't want to risk not getting a place. You can find all the info and book through this page https://orcawhalewatch.com/ We went on the fast boat abd it was amazing!! Hope you enjoy it too!!

Depending on which vessel, it is either $99 or $109 (per person, adult price) plus taxes and fees.

Î: we are coming at the end of september, will there be whales?

The whales are around because of the salmon, so if the salmon are still going upstream you may still see whales.
