A beautiful sprawling, very historical cemetery with easy to access thru the main gate area located off of S. Malcolm X Blvd. One of the largest, most striking historical cemeteries in Dallas, with hundreds of burials marked by a dizzying array of stones, obelisks, and other features. Oakland Cemetery holds a number of important citizens of early Texas, Dallas and surrounding areas including their families.

My first visit was April 2022. The volunteers have done an extraordinary job of reclaiming this cemetery from the wilderness that was overtaking it. Along with the uptown cemeteries it is a wonderful place to connect with the history of Dallas.

can people go and dig add something on the grave what is a good phone number?
No
Yes
Just leveled a tombstone there the other day. The office people should have a listing of all the graves. With no marker to suggest where, usually require someone to probe the area for the vault etc...
You need to call wherever y'all got the flight there and ask them what do I need to do
Simply drive or walk in. Two things: 1) Oakland needs to be assured that Oakland is not liable for any accident or injury resulting from your activity, & 2) any contribution to Oakland would be greatly appreciated.
