Great place for sports n fun

If you like to skate just for fun and exercise, go somewhere else. Three reasons: 1. They will change the schedule for public skate at the last minute, and there is no system to notify you of these changes (and it's not as if the online schedule is user-friendly to begin with). So if you work, go to school, or otherwise have a busy schedule you won't be able to plan ahead for your workouts. You have to call ahead (that day) to make sure they have it, but that's not helpful when you've already scheduled other obligations to accommodate the times they had posted online. I understand that hockey is the money-maker for rinks and they need to move public sessions around because of it, but even the very hockey-centric NYTEX doesn't pull schedule changes like this. 2. The price for a public skate pass went up. It's now $75 monthly, and they currently have only two sessions posted for this month. 3. The skate guards don't do very much to prevent disorder (and unfortunately, often create it with their friends). They're only kids, after all, so I understand. But why pay them for playing tag with their friends and doing spider-lunges across the middle of the ice? I hate writing this review because I actually really like the rink itself, but an honest account may help other hobby skaters avoid the same issues.

Played broomstick which is totally fun until you fall. So be careful.

Yes there is plenty of options for lessons, you can contact the main desk to get more info
No
It is recommended that you sign up for a time online. If it isn't busy, they will most likely let you walk in.
Pretty dull so I bought my own after getting blisters in an hour
Yes
It's kind of difficult to find via navigating the website. I usually find it fast using a direct Google search.
Call the front desk and inquire or visit nhl.com/stars/starscenters/try-skating
Yes they do.
Yes, they do. Call ahead though to see if someone trained to do it is there. It was reasonable. Less than 10, I think. I was told they weren't the greatest at it, but for the price, it was fine especially for non-competitors. Took maybe 10 minutes.
They do
