i was escorted out of the building because i declined being weighed. i went in to establish care, move over my prescriptions, get an ESA letter to give to my apartment complex and i recently developed really horrific back pain. i wasn’t getting on new meds nor are any of my medications weight-sensitive. however, for context i have a history of an eating disorder/going to rehab for said eating disorder but i have been in recovery for three years. the nurse asked me to step on the scale and i declined and said i don’t weigh myself at doctors offices. she moved on and sort of took my history and i told her the situation with my ED and she left the room (i could be wrong but i don’t think she wrote it down nor did she ask my specific diagnosis). the NP then came in and said that before i leave she “will get a weight from me” and “it’s one of her vitals” and that’s “how she does healthcare.” i tell her that being weighed triggers me and that it’s not about “not looking at the number.” she reiterates that she will get a weight from me before i leave and asks me if i’m ready. i ask if there is no “patient declined” option (i know there is; patients have rights to refuse anything) and she picks up her laptop and leaves telling me she’ll be right back. they send in a woman from the front desk and she says that NPs can’t write ESA letters and she isn’t sure that the doctor on staff can either (i know doctors can; her knowing the NP can’t but isn’t sure if the doctor can is also suspicious) the front desk woman then tells me that she doesn’t “want to keep me waiting” and that she would call me. she then walks me out of building and makes sure i leave. i have never been treated like that a medical facility in my life. it was humiliating and i left crying and upset. TL;DR i declined being weighed and was treated like a hostile problem even though they were aware of my history with eating disorders and was calm but firm the whole time. they refused service because i chose to exercise my right as a patient and be in control of my own healthcare. also goes without saying that it’s been more than 24hrs and they haven’t called.

First impressions - could never get anyone on the phone, when we finally did they were extremely rude, and unprofessional. When we came in - no difference. Rude, unprofessional.

Dr . Hill was very professional and tentative to my medical needs, on the other hand the front desk is rude as hell.I called to make an appointment after speaking with her I resorted to making it on the website. Her tone is very unprofessional and ugly. On top of that have never been to a Doctors office where I have to wait until the end of a shift to get a prescription called in. This sane front desk clerk told me the Dr has not call it in and that I would have to wait until she stop seeing patients. OMG! I will not be going back. Thank you but no thank you.
