First Baptist Church Burleson

The Sunday we arrived at this church was nerving. We are a Mexican American family new to the area. The amount of dirty stares we got from the English side of the church was appalling. The Spanish side was very friendly to us of course but being a Mexican American raised with English as my first language I had planned on visiting the English side of the church. I refuse to put my children’s through the discomfort and decided not to return. I’m almost afraid to attend another church here in Burleson if this is the way the people are. I’m Baptist and have been to many baptist churches with white people and have never experienced this in my whole life just sad and embarrassing for this church and the people who live around here. I think burleson churches as a whole needs to be more cultured if they plan on reaching people with the gospel. Also I would like to add that Jesus from Nazareth was not a white man historically he was probably brown and looked middle easterner. Ohhh big shocker show some love to people who don’t look like you.
