Yes. Westbound Empire Builder service. Currently limited to 3 days per week.
East bound train #8 & 28 arrive in Minot at 9:27 pm if they are on time. West bound train #7 & 27 arrive in Minot at 8:29 am if they are on time. The depot is usually open at least1 1/2 hrs before the trains arrive and for maybe 1/2 hr after they depart.
Yes, but they require you to pick up a long term parking tag at the ticket window. I was told there is no cost, and that the window is staffed before each scheduled departure.
Unfortunately, no. You can take a train to Chicago, then another to Indianapolis, then a bus.
To add to what Duane Veatch said, pets can only be taken on Amtrak trips of up to 7 hours at most, and you can ONLY ride in coach but not sleepers, business class, or any other first class accommodations. The maximum weight of your pet plus carrier is 20 pounds, and each passenger can only have 1 pet with them per reservation. If a separate person traveled with you, they might be able to book a pet reservation for your 2nd cat. If you want to travel further you could travel up to 7 hours away (i.e. Minot to Havre), stay overnight there at a pet friendly motel/hotel there, then travel further the next day (i.e. Havre to Whitefish). You can FULLY read about their pet policy here: https://m.amtrak.com/h5/r/www.amtrak.com/onboard/carry-on-pets.html
Yes, there is a station attendant in Minot. The hours are normal a little bit before the west bound train arrives to after the eastbound train departs. Not sure exactly what hours they are through.
