Wonderful winery!!! My friend Carol and I had a most exquisite experience with new wines - made locally - with wonderful knowledgeable host! Looking to become regulars!

What a fantastic find! Had such a great time visiting with the owners and sampling the delectable wine. The barrel-aged red was on par with some of the best I've ever tasted. Will definitely visit again soon!

$15 for 6 tastings.

Are you apart of the LaRue family? Decendants of the de la Rieux family of Brittany, France? My ancestor John Wellington LaRue brought horses to Texas in 1890 and bought land, his wife Mattie LaRue came to McKenny Texas in 1900 from Tennessee.

Morna, I wish we were. However, the name of the winery comes from our attempt to start a vineyard on my Great Grandparents property in Larue, Texas. The attempt failed due to (Texas) family partisanship. Interestingly enough, my mother is French born in Maisons-Laffitte outside of Paris. He maiden name was Durand. Is it possible that Larue was named by or after your ancestor? Merci de demander - Grover Joiner
