This one star review is for Becky who works at the front desk. My family and I have been going to the Frisco YMCA for over a year now. We typically go 4/5 times a week and my daughter LOVES the child watch (5 stars for child watch). On Saturday, 9/10, my brother drove 30+ minutes out of his way to take my daughter to the Frisco YMCA so she could go to child watch, like she does almost every Saturday. Upon arrival, Becky was extremely rude. She stated that my daughters home YMCA was the Plano Y and that it would be better if he took her to Plano. If Becky would have simply done her job and looked, she would have seen how often we attend the Frisco YMCA. Not only that but suggesting he take her to Plano was wrong. YMCA members are able to attend any Y. Becky was very hesitant to simply do her job and give my brother a guest pass. Becky was so extremely RUDE and unwelcoming that my brother decided to leave, he felt so incredibly uncomfortable and so did my child. My daughter wasn’t able to go to the child watch and left crying. Way to go Becky! Sometimes you simply have to do a little more work than scan an id in and Becky clearly wasn’t willing to do that. It appears she is incapable of any slight inconvenience that requires some light work. Do better next time Becky, you ruined a little girls day!

This review is geared specifically for the caddo day camp. I am really disappointed with this camp. We paid a 185$ a week for our daughter to swim in the resort type pools only to find out she is always at the splash pad. She is a great swimmer and was never given a swim test. To my knowledge the swim tests never happened. There is no consistency from the counselors. Every week she has a new counselor. Seems like some weeks they are understaffed and the groups are combined into these “pods” where there may be one or two conselors for the pods. Today she was not feeling well while at camp. I got a call from an unknown number and they left no voicemail. That is what voicemails are for. I only find out when I pick her up that she was sick. This is not the experience I expected given the fact that I attended Y camps as a kid and loved them. Next year we will be doing something else. I would strongly suggest spending that 200$ a week on a more worthwhile experience.

The Frisco Family YMCA is a great place for families and people who want a community-focused fitness/wellness experience. I coached sports there for a few years, and after I learned about how much of a difference the Y makes, I decided to join the Board. This is a place where everybody is welcome. It’s clean and they will not turn anybody away, because they provide support for young athletes and families that may need it.

Not yet. That is something they are planning on doing.
No swimming pool
No.
Hi, no there is not but there is field space outside for most anything
No there isn't. However if you walk outside close to the building its 200 meters. In addition, there are tons of treadmills.
Discount for62 year old and older
Yes, they offer Zumba classes.
No pool yet, there are plans to add one. There are Cycling (Spin) and Zumba classes as well as many others. I am not sure on membership dues, it might say on website. However, I don't think there is any price difference for Frisco residents versus non-residents. But I am not 100%.
There is currently no basketball court.
