The location has a nice layout and while there are a lot of crafts represented, the fact that everything is overpriced and masks are still required, I'll pass. Not the friendliest of staff either.

I love this shop so much!! Their selection across the board is beautiful and high quality. I was particularly amazed at the huge variety of specialty needles they supply, which are so often missing at big-box stores. The best part about this store is the staff. They strike this perfect balance of being extremely helpful when you need it, but also not "hovering" when you'd like space to browse, or being pushy with sales. Also, they are just so helpful! No question seemed too silly or novice, and they really respectfully explained everything to me that I asked about. You know when you go into a bike shop, and no matter what question you ask, they always make you feel dumb? Fancy Tiger is the exact opposite of that! ☺️

Every year about this time I travel to Colorado from Virginia to head to the Taos Wool Festival with Colorado-based friends. Fancy Tiger has been one of the highlights of our travels for years and years. Not this year. There were three people working when we went in and not one said hello or even acknowledged we'd entered the store. While I appreciate not being hounded there is a happy medium between that and being totally ignored. The variety of apparel fabrics was disappointing compared to previous years (at the same time of year). There were a couple of gems but nothing I had to have. I guess I should thank them for helping me save money, money I can instead spend in New Mexico.

Disappointing visit. Not the store it used to be. I said hello to three separate employees and no one acknowledged that they had 3 shoppers in the store. Always look forward to my visits here and left without any purchases this visit and likely will not be back.

Mandatory masks, limited customers at the same time, hand sanitizing station when you walk in the door
We do tune up and repair here! You can drop your machine off during our current curbside hours of 1 - 5pm M - Sat. Usually it takes about 2 weeks turnaround time and we can work on any type of machine. thanks!
We're in central Denver just south of First Ave. on Broadway
If they have minky, I would not consider their stock a "wide variety". I'm not sure they have any at all.
They have basic sewing and machine maintenance classes that will get you started on any machine. If you're looking for machine embroidery, pieced quilting, or machine specific classes you might try places like Rocky Mountain Sewing & Vacuum or The Creative Needle
No, not at this time. You might try the suggestions another reviewer was given in answer to machine classes though!
Our Sewing Machine Maintenance fee is $150 per machine for a full cleaning and tune up. Any complicated repairs or more advanced work may be an additional cost, but are communicated in advance to get your approval.
It was a sweet shop. Aurora decided to close the storefront, but I understand she is online under Fabric Bliss.
Yes! We host an Open Craft Night every Tuesday night from 6 - 9pm - it is free and open to the public - please join us!
Yes, they have classes listed on their website for beginners, intermediate and advance students.
Not nearly the volume but quality and style is far superior.
They use Make it Sew machine repair. It isn't cheap, and no one is so don't work too hard looking around. Bob is excellent and best of all very speedy. I got my machine back in a couple of days.
If you mean Liberty of London fabrics, they're on the left wall as you come in towards the back across from the counter.
