I have been climbing for several years and have been to several gyms around the valley: PRG, AZR, BRBG. Focus definitely has a great community and I always enjoy my time here! Love that that added barbells, too!

Great place!

My favorite indoor climbing gym in Arizona! The routes are always being updated, and the staff is always pleasant. They do an excellent job of keeping everyone safe while climbing.

Focus Climbing Center is a top notch facility ran by climbers for climbers. The routes and problems are masterfully put together and meticulously quality controlled. This gym offers ropes and auto belays, but is primarily a bouldering facility. This gym is a must go for climbers looking to sharpen their edge and get fit!

Under $20 for your grandson. You can stay as long as your body will let you. You can come as long as we are open. M-F 10a-10p and S-S 10a-7p
You pay for a day, 10 punch pass, month, or year. There are no hour rates. A day for an adult is 18$. They have discounts for children, students, and adults on their website.
There's "easier" lines on the rope side. There's a rope side and a bouldering side and I'm pretty sure your child needs to weigh something like 40lbs at least, to be able to put a harness on and have the auto belay rope, work for him. Don't quote me on that weight though. Bouldering side, the child can only climb as high as you can reach (safety precautions). My 3 yr old still won't even put the harness on....
Focus definitely rents pads. Call and they'll give you the rates!
Focus has a fully adjustable Tension Board - 20° down to 50°
A rental harness will cost $3.24
Also- as a reminder, only parents and legal guardians are allowed to sign waivers. Siblings, grandparents, step parents, close relatives do not count.
I actually saw a dog there once.
