It was good, people really nice, for a basic dump it was 36.00, I think last time we paid 22 or 26.00. I guess they have gone up like very thing else. Life is so expensive now. Its hard on every one.

Big, well-organized garbage transfer Station. The dump is inside. Quite busy during weekdays. Not cheap to dump, but not out of line.

Tried to leave one star review but Google won’t let me. They don’t tell you that you need a hardhat or a safety vest until you’re inside of the facility and you’ve already waited in line. Spoke with the gentleman in the terminal and he said that he had talk to Management several times for the last few years to get signs up to inform people prior to arriving. Sounds like the management needs to get with the program. The only dump I’ve ever been to that requires a hardhat or safety vest
DEBRA PAYNE
Reasonably price, easy to get in and out of. The gals that work in the booth are kind and approachable. I will use them again in the future.

32$ as of June 1st, 2022.
$22 minimum. Might as well bring up to 400 pounds for that price.
20 Buck's minimum.
We take them at all our disposal facilities. Fees and accepted items are at kcowa.us/dropoff!
Cash, checks are accepted with valid ID, and Visa/Master Card with valid ID and card holder present.
Yes.
Yes but partial
Hi Glenn, remove non-metal parts (like the tray) and you can recycle it as scrap metal at Olympic View Transfer Station or the Silverdale Recycling and Garbage Facility (bins in the outdoor recycle areas). Also, there are many private scrap yards around that may be more convenient for you.
There is a recycling area no charge
Only plastic bottles, plastic jugs, plastic jars, and plastic dairy tubs. Common examples are: soda bottles, shampoo bottles, milk jugs, laundry detergent jugs, peanut butter jars, and whipped cream tubs. They must be clean, empty, and dry and they go into the containers on your left as you enter the recycling area.
HOURS: 8am - 5pm Daily. Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Closed at 3:00 pm Christmas Eve.
No they lock up all access to the facility
Yes
It's open :)
I concur with scott.
I don't know if they will be.
Yes
Before you get to the transfer station there is a hazardous waste drop off. About a block before the entrance on your right. Call first or look them up. They seem to operate strange hours.
TV yes computer don't know
Yes you can
What condition is the entertainment center in? Might be interested in it?
They have a hazardous waste space, the street right before the dump on the right hand side. It's free, but I don't know if they'll take that. I'd call and ask just to make sure
Yes but wait is about a hour
No limit, but don't overload your vehicle please. See tire fees at kcowa.us/dropoff.
Minimum fee is $22 dollars. Dump trucks/trailers must bring and wear PPE. Visit kcowa.us/dropoff for complete fees and info.
kcowa.us/dropoff
Yes, we take them. For loads under 530lbs the price will be $22. (July 1st the weight goes down to 500lbs) appliances are $20 each and personal sized tires are $7.
Yes, you can just tell the people at the scale house. Hours of operation are 8am-5pm every day.
Hi Rick, same price at all our waste and recycling facilities: $20 each (11/2019). Current fees for each facility are online at kcowa.us/dropoff.
Hi Sue, Olympic View Transfer Station does take old TVs, but you may have to wait in a long line. To avoid the line, use one of the many other TV recycle sites! Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type "TV" into the search bar. You'll find a complete list of sites.
Yes. Find our fees and accepted items at kcowa.us/dropoff.
Visit kcowa.us/hazwaste to see information for the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Please not that this facility is not at Olympic View Transfer Station, it is down the road.
If your yard waste is in plastic bags, it will be received as garbage. If your yard waste is loose (and the correct materials), it will be recycled. However, if you only have a few bags of yard waste, you can get a lower rate at one of the nearby private composting facilities. Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type “yard waste” into the search bar to see a list of yard waste facilities.
Olympic View Transfer Station does not offer free pallets.
Yes, we take them as garbage at Olympic View Transfer Station. The minimum fee applies to garbage less than 566 lbs. Fees are at kcowa.us/dropoff. However, you can likely take this to a scrap metal recycler. Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type "scrap metal" into the search bar to see a list of metal recyclers. Call ahead to make sure they will accept it.
The minimum fee of $22 dollars applies up to the first 566 lbs. There are many private yard waste recyclers, however, that may charge less and be more convenient for you (keep in mind Olympic View has long lines). Here's the complete list! https://www.kitsapgov.com/pw/Pages/yardwaste.aspx
Yes, unfortunately.
It's free but you have to wait in line (which can get very long). Instead, bring it to any local E-Cycle WA site. Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type "TV" into the search bar. You'll find a list of places that won't have a line.
The Olympic View recycling area is closed. Olalla, Hansville, and Silverdale facilities are open, but may be busier than normal and may unexpectedly close if containers are full. We're asking everyone to hang on to their recycling and garbage (if possible) until the closure is open. Thanks!
Under like 5 or 600 pounds is the minimum fee of 22$ after tax not 30$
Hi Patrick, Olympic View Transfer Station doesn't take propane tanks in the scrap metal bin. But there are private metal recyclers who will take them! Visit Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type "propane tanks" into the search bar to see a list of places.
Hey Smart Guy, Yes, but you'll have to wait in line to bring it inside the building. Here's a better alternative: Go to Recycle.KitsapGov.com and type "TV" into the white search box. You'll see a list of the many free TV recycling sites in the county (like Goodwill).
Hi Rebecca, Visit kcowa.us/dropoff for accepted items and current rates!
The E-Cycle WA program allows you to take old TVs and monitors (broken or working) to Goodwill stores or All Shred. The Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Silverdale Goodwill stores take any size screen. The Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island sites have size limitations of 19". These sites will likely be more convenient than the transfer station, which is often very busy. The transfer station does accept these items.
Find current rates for large appliance (white good) disposal at kcowa.us/dropoff!
