playground and pier are closed for maintenance/renovation. but nice place otherwise

Parking can be challenging to find, but the water and pier are nice. We used this spot to put in and kayak up the sound.

Grew up here as a kid playing on the beach. Wonderful place to bbq, play in the water and fish. Brought a couple friends here last week to do some of their engagement photos and they turned out great. Highly recommend for a photo spot when the tide isn't all the way up. There used to be a lobster shop restaurant here a few years ago but not it had turned into an Italian restaurant. Haven't tried it yet but super convenient to have in the area. Parking is all free but note the gate will lock after dark. Has a swing set and big toy for kids. Also has a pagoda for groups. Good amount of beach before it turns into private land. Weekend is usually packed with fisherman on the docks in the morning. One way in one way out access.

I was fishing my kayak. That thing is as sound as a rock. It was the 150+ people on it, they posted covid at first and everyone starting yelling at them so they changed it to damage. I was there when they did it.
