They never answer the phone. Goes straight to voicemail. Never calls back after leaving a voicemail. Ridiculously hard to even speak to someone about volunteering.

This is the BEST place for someone wanting to recover! They saved my life! I learned so much while in a safe environment.

I was in the program in 2007 at the Womens Home. Unless the requirements have changed. No you can not have job for the first part of the program. After several weeks of on campus classes you do career search.

I’m not sure why this wasn’t answered but if you look on the website there is a phone number, I think they can help

I’m not sure why this wasn’t answered but if you look on the website there is a phone number, I think they can help From my experience you don’t have to have kids to get help there and you don’t have to have money either, give them a call God bless you :)
For a shelter type situation? No, we are not an overnight shelter. However, for long-term housing, we do. https://www.thewomenshome.org/for-families/
If you are looking for a place to go with your kids, The Women's Home isn't the place to go. Santa Maria Hostel has Bonita House, where mother's can go with their children. But TWH is a long-term inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility.
Thank you so much! Could you please bring them to our Cottage Shop? Here's drop off info: Donation Drop-Off Hours Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Sunday Closed https://www.thewomenshome.org/cottageshop/
You have to contact Emily Kemper in admissions. Call the main number and ask for her.

Please call Houston Area Women’s Center at tel:1.800.799.7233 or the United Way hotline at 211 (just dial 211). We hope this helps.
No. They accept all women with or without past abuse and drug usage problems. If they cannot help you they will find someone who can.
Though i am not Alumni of The Woman's Home. Its reputation precedes it with high regards and praises from those ive known who have gone through its 18 month life changing program. The success rate for those who have actually completed the program is very high and exceeds other "rehabs" in accomplished alumni. Located in Montrose, with surrounding areas consisting of The Galleria, River Oaks, The Heights, Midtown and The Medical Center. Funding from local contributors gives extra help to the resources provided to its clients. The Woman's Home is an excellent path to pick for any woman out there ready to CHANGE THEIR LIFE. In my opinion... But its just heresay anyway... Lol But seriously!!!!
Unfortunately no children allowed. The facility is not equipped for children, only adult women. Best wishes to you on finding the perfect fit for you!
We're so sorry this is such a tough time for you. We are not a temporary shelter. We do have affordable housing units. For more information about those, please call 713-328-1976. You can also call the United Way hotline for other options: just dial 211.
We are a longterm program, not a shelter. For help with housing, you can try contacting our Whole Life Service Center to see if one of our case workers can help. Please call 713-328-1963.
Sadly there are no pets allowed at this place. Sorry.
We are not a shelter. if you need a shelter, we recommend Star of Hope. If you are interested in applying for any of our affordable housing units, however, we can get you that info. For our affordable FAMILY housing unit, please call 713-574-2445
I hope you are good
Yes, on Thursday between 10am and 2pm this week! At our Cottage Shop: https://www.thewomenshome.org/cottageshop/
We are not a shelter. We're a longterm residential treatment program for women who have faced homelessness, mental illness, and/or addiction. But our longest treatment program is 18 months, so we are not a longterm care facility, which is what it sounds like she needs.
We are not a shelter. We are a longterm care and healing facility. If you need a shelter, you could try Star of Hope: http://give.sohmission.org/site/PageNavigator/intake_survey.html?_ga=2.118348929.903339263.1575253205-1229156920.1575253205 Or Santa Maria http://www.santamariahostel.org/
We have affordable housing units that are separate from our recovery programs. You can find more information here: for individuals: https://www.thewomenshome.org/for-individuals/ for families: https://www.thewomenshome.org/for-families/
The Cottage Shop accepts donations, but they don't pick up and it's best to call before dropping off furniture. If they don't have storage space for it when you drop it off, it will end up being thrown away.
The Women's Home does not have an emergency shelter. You can call 211 locally for emergency shelter resources
If you want to donate on Saturdays, you can do so at The Cottage Shop. Call them to be sure of the donation hours, but I think it's from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Just bring those things to the Cottage Shop at 811 Westheimer Houston TX 77006 between 10:00 & 3:00 Monday- Saturday
Give them a call ask them. Im sure they.would be able to answer your questions I jave shopped at their resale shop and they seem like noce people.
Bridg of hope or star of hope
I have to much clean time to go here.
If you are in the residential treatment program, no. We do have affordable housing sites as well but they are separate from our treatment programs.
We are not a shelter. We are a longer term treatment and transitional housing program.
As Chelsey said, the treatment program only accepts unaccompanied women.
