Nice hike on the road. The road is impassable for 2-wheel drive past the cattle guard in the snow - not much better for 4-wheel drive either I hear. I only had a half hour left after getting stuck and helped out. I walked the road a bit and it was beautiful - it looked like it would be a great trail.

Last quarter of the trail is the steepest. Follows the creek through the forest most of the way up with great views in the occasional meadow. Trail was pretty easy to follow in the snow due to previous traffic. Saw an American dipper and a ruffed grouse as well as TONS of rabbit and hare sign. Loved it and definitely will hike it again!

Beautiful place. Great for hiking biking and just getting outside! Good water access for dogs too.
