Upon arrival you see an office that's locked and closed. The government employee running it will be found living in an RV watching TV to the left about 200 ft. They will then tell you they are at full occupancy even though they are at less than half. I got some pictures and video of it before leaving. You are far better off camping on BLM land for free about 20 miles away. The campground does provide a nice view of the houses being built all around the conservation area though if you enjoy watching man destroy natural spaces.

Great Campground for outdoor enthusiasts who don't need all the amenities like showers, plug ins, flush toilets etc. It has the most important thing, Las Vegas Red Rock experience.

Great site! The camp hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I’m a beginner level camper and they even helped me figure out how to pitch my troublesome new tent which was very kind of them and likely saved me a ton of trouble and frustration. The bathrooms and paths are clean and well maintained, sites are well marked, and there are even small events throughout the week in the communal campfire circle off the parking lot. Definitely a place I’ll be back to again in the future!

Best escape from the city stress near Vegas

Yes. We were just there 2 weeks ago.
Yes there is water not at every site but stationed st the bathrooms we have a faucet with potable water now there is no hookups at this campground so we ask if you have an rv make sure you fill up water and dump.before you come in We are the camphost
Yup , better to call first or try to reserve online.
It depends on the time of year and the day of week, but I did do this exact thing and found a spot. It was during the week tho.
Yes many offroad trails
Unfortunately, Red Rocks doed not take reservations except in the group camping area for larger parties. It does fill up often even on weeknights, best time to drive through and check seeems shortly after checkout which is 11am. People often drive through earlier to see who is checking out that day by looking at receipt which is posted at each campsite.
I’ve arrived late. Don’t do it without a reservation tho
No. And they will write you up if you Rambo it.
A reasonably short drive. The campground itself is remote but only a few minutes from the freeway. The city is in easy reach.
Correct, no showers, but some of the cleanest pit toilets I have ever seen. Camp hosts were great and did their best to keep the place top notch.
No
30 days
No showers, but bathrooms were clean. And you don't need a state park pass to camp. They are open Sept-june. Last time I was there it was 20 a night for a tent site. Make sure to reserve a spot ahead of time.
No showers. There's a rec center in Summerlin that is cheap and clean and there's a climbing gym on Charleston that is neither.
Drive another 20 minutes out past Kyle Canyon it's very dark along the 95 in that area.
The group sites do have running water and a private bathroom at each site.
You can check in when ever. It could be 8pm and if you reserved and paid for your spot it'll be ther
Yes, we bought some wood at the local grocery store, 5 minutes out.
Yes dose close at certain time of year. $15.00 a ni ght
Current prices should be posted. Also BLM rangers are available to answer questions.
Yes. There is a specific rv area but some rv can also fir in regular spots. I think it's 15 a night
It was hit and miss I have MetroPCS it works sometimes and not others was stuck out there and couldn't get a hold of AAA. Was able to text my mom in California and she called them.
14 days, $20. Canpground is closed feom the end of may til Sept 1, i think. All the info you need is online.
Alex is correct, and no more than 10 people per site, unless you get a group site. Those sites are muçh better, by the way.
Opens in fall again
$15 a night unless you have a pass. They have five RV spots only you can find any storage unit that may have RV storage we are a large city
No, Mount Charleston I believe have cabins
What type of trails are you looking for? Do you ride a off-trail bike?
No hookups and only like 5 RVs are allowed in the back and then whatever fits in the campsite
Saw plenty of people camping and waking their leashed dogs last couple times I camped there
Restrooms are for paid campers, but they are very clean
Yes, there is a parking lot for those that take there tents to the walk-in area. We actually slept in our camper van in that lot because the campground sites were full on a Saturday night.
