I spent just over 3 week's at the CanAm this year, starting in May and ending in June. I've stayed here every year since Wendy and Damon purchased the motel. They continue to make improvements, it's a pleasure to stay, everyone is very pleasant and accommodating. It's my 'go to home' away from home once and sometimes twice a year. I like the openness around the motel, walking distance to the grocery store/Caribou coffee. I hope to get back there later this year. Thank you Wendy and Damon and everyone.

The no smoking room smelled as if someone had just smoked a cigarette prior to our arrival. Cigarette burns in the carpet. We reported this to the front desk person who did not seem concerned at all. No apologies at all. During our stay the people on the second floor above us were very, very loud so we could not sleep. Reported this to Front Desk person, Lisa, who informed us that she would take care of the situation. That didn't happen. Reported the situation to her again, nothing was done. No apologies, just a chuckle. Needless to say, we lost a night of sleep. Would not recommend this hotel. Poor management and help.

Really nice rooms and really decent price. Only problem was that the water was yellow / light brown color. We let it run for a bit too and it was still like that.

The new owners (Wendy and Damon) are ABSOLUTELY wonderful. They were very attentive for the duration of our stay, and the hospitality was out of this world. Our room was cleaned daily, linens refreshed, etc. A rambunctious hockey team was there for the weekend as well, and they did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone just crossing through or visiting. (I also recommend the Tavern on the lake! Very good pizza.) Thank you, again Wendy&Damon!
