For those that have special dietary needs, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or just health conscious, Natural Grocers has a good selection. They are “pricey”, but I am not shocked and fully expect that in this area where there are 4 Wal-marts and countless McDonalds… both brands pushing cheap and easy. It is neither cheap nor easy to take your health seriously.

Kelp is a seaweed that is high in iodine, which is dried and ground as a natural herb. Iodine, like from iodized salt is the common source for thyroid health; max rdi from AHA of Iodized salt is 1500mg/D, 1/4-1/8 tspn/D. 150mcg/D is RDA of iodine btw. Consult a PCP doctor for a blood test to see if Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) is proper, a common easy test if any doubts on ur metabolism.
