Beautiful golf course and tough layout. Played on a sunny day but with 25+ mph winds this made the course laughably hard. Also the greens had been punched a few weeks before and they were still a bit sandy but it's all good. I'd love to play this again when the greens were fully recovered. Service and facilities were great. Course is an absolute gem and lots of people prefer it over Paynes valley. I'd highly recommend this track if you come to big cedar lodge.

Let me first state that I loved, loved, loved the golf course and its condition - I've never seen firmer and faster greens anywhere in Missouri. Even with zoysia starting to go dormant, the mowed areas were in very good condition as well. The routing is delightful and I think without question this is the best public golf course in Missouri. The only issue I had is with management, but it was a pretty big one. I played as a single wedged between two sets of foursomes a half an hour apart on the tee sheet, so I decided to take my time and ensure that I stayed far enough from both groups to avoid either waiting or holding anyone up. I had no issues doing so - the group behind me was only ever on the same hole as I was on a par five when they teed of as I was putting, the hole immediately after I spent a long time looking for a ball - but was nonetheless approached by a "player's assistant" while standing on the twelfth tee who indicated that "the main office" had instructed him to speed up my play. At the time, my cart told me I was a whopping 3 minutes behind pace. As a single who was not causing any problems and was capable of playing much faster if I saw the group behind me getting close, I was frankly insulted to have my pace of play micromanaged to that level. I'll also note that despite the fact that I did not speed up my pace at all out of spite after his visit, I nonetheless finished in over ten minutes under the "recommended" pace of 4½ hours. That visit's only outcome was to make me angry and thus sour what was otherwise a great day.

We were there in May....great round. Well-manicured course. Forecaddies are so helpful on this course, especially if you are used to playing flatland courses.

We played Payne’s Valley, Ozarks National, Buffalo Ridge and Top of The Rock. Out of the 3 18 hole courses everybody has a different ranking of Ozarks. Some thought it was the best, others the worst but mainly just depended on who played what course well. I would say Ozarks was the most challenging of the 3. The fairways and greens are large but if you miss the fairway you are going to have a hard time finding your ball. We played 10 days after aeration and you couldn’t tell at all. The course was in incredible shape. The staff is amazing. The marshals have water and wet towels every time you see them which was great on a hot day. My only complaint would be the pro shop. No restaurant or breakfast food. You have to go the whole way over to Payne’s valley. There’s food out on the course but just hot dogs and snacks (all complimentary by the way). One toilet in the club house as well which was odd. But all in all amazing course, staff and views.

I can't speak for the golf course but I know in the mountaintop restaurant we definitely do honor 10% discount.
Either KCI or St. Louis. Whichever has the best rates. They are close to equidistant.
