The hotel is very close to mall of America and offers free shuttle service to the mall and to the airport. This is not the usual Fairfield setup, I think it’s a bit older. There was no microwave in the room. The breakfast was minimal, I always look forward to the Marriott oatmeal in the morning, but they only had instant oatmeal and microwave breakfast sandwiches. There was also eggs and various breakfast meats. The bathroom still had individual shampoo instead of the dispensers on the shower wall. The shower was nice, but in a tub/ shower set up instead of the more modern showers we’ve had before. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. It was one of the lower priced Marriotts in the area. If you are sensitive to noise ask for a room in the back.

Enjoyed this hotel. We used laundry facilities here, and it was $2 to wash and $2 to dry, but it saved me from doing a ton of laundry after my vacation. Kids enjoyed the pool, and we never heard the planes overhead. Overall great experience.

It really annoys me when budget hotels pretend to be something they’re not by using the Mariott name. I don’t know why Marriott allows this. This hotel isn’t terrible; I’d stay here when I needed a place to stay if the price was right. However, it is NOT a Mariott. I will note that the rooms across the hall from us were considerably nicer than our room. This could account for some of the discrepancy in reviews. Multiple door locks broken out and rooms open, mattresses leaning up against windows visible from the outside, rollaway cots stored all week at the end of the hall, 8” deep potholes dotting the driveway, mold on the bathroom grout, and an ice machine that (according to reviews) has been out of order and leaking for months. About 6’ of the first floor hallway had water puddled in the carpet. I stayed here for a week for work. I was told at the beginning I would receive no room service all week and if I needed towels to come get them at the front desk (but not that night; the laundry person apparently didn’t come in that night). What are you supposed to do with your dirty towels? What do you do with your trash? The breakfast is good.

Had arrived early morning asked for a late check out. Lady at the front desk sure no problem. Guy came knocked and tried entering while I was dressing. He couldn't come in but heard when he unlocked the key card. Went to the door and asked him what he needed. He said we were supposed to be checked out already. I told him to go back downstairs I'd be there like in 5 mins. Told the guy at the reception desk what the lady had told us earlier in the morning he said no one had said or noted anything. Lack of communication with these place. Would not stay here again if I don't need too. Professionalism and attitude with the guy during check out needs major work.
