I use to love goetta until I ate a piece and there was a bone in it and chipped my tooth. I called them and they did not even care. The woman on the phone said it can happen and they cannot get every bone out of it so I have moved back to bacon and sausage.

Hello, Frank. You could heat up your goetta in a microwave and it would be perfectly safe. However we do not recommend it becuase it wouldn't brown and get the crispy outside that we love so much. Thank you for your question.

Unopened original Goetta in a 1# roll has a shelf life of 4 months. The number on the white sticker is based on the Julian Calendar so for example the number 338 would represent the 338th day of the year which would be Dec 4th. That would be the day the product was made so you would have 4 months from that day.
