Very very rude people when you call worst service I’ve ever had. You are by far the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with couldn’t explain to my why my bill was so high for such a tiny house absolutely ridiculous.

The smallest storm shuts off power for hrs i mean whats going on i have prob at least 2 to 3 outages a month. When the littlest rain comes i dread it cause u know the powers going off also 32 dollars just to have electric then the bill come on now help your customers out

Absolutely worst reliability grid I've seen. Outage after outage after outage... Ever consider taking some of the money you're making off of the customer and updating the grid? I drive by your substations and all I see equipment wise is pre 70s pcb oil filled breakers! Brown glass insulators that are dirty, rusted .... Distribution?? Not even gonna start on that one.. Step it up!! Give the customer what they pay for!!

Coming from being a Duke customer in Hamilton County Ohio for the last 22 years. By comparison, the customer service at Whitewater Valley REMC is fantastic ! When you call REMC during business hours, a live person from a local office answers the phone in person ! Duke and Cincy Bell and my cell phone provider direct my calls to the Philippines ! This alone is Golden ! SOOO refreshing ! They are kind and helpful and the epitomy of Hoosier Hospitality. I cant even fathom the bad customer service reviews. The rates seem more affordable than my rates with Duke. The ease of calling to make a payment over the phone, or to discuss anything, is amazing. With Duke I would have to make sure I had at least 45 minutes to spare before ever dialing the phone. With REMC I can call and pay my bill or talk to a live person and be off the phone in 5 minutes ! The service itself seems to go out less often than Duke, and when it does go out, it is restored more quickly.

It is a fee that is charged to help them run the offices! When you join REMC you are part of a co-op.
