The hospital is relatively clean some renovation but looks dated. I gave McCullough-Hyde a one star because of a fatal flaw, anyone having surgery done at this facility can and will be committed to possibly out of pocket expenses. This hospital has exclusive anestheologist named Dr. Bruce Gray a likeable guy but with the possibility of deceptive methods to extract additional money from your insurance or you. This would be after the insurance company have exhausted all negotiations. After your operation you may receive a non itemized bill with separate entries the cost of the total bill then below a line with Un resolved charges. This is ambiguous and deceptive. Since he is exclusive he is the only anestheologist you'll get. At this hospital. Not my hospital question everything! Note: this practice may pertain to most anestheologist which rarely work with insurance networks. This 41/2 years later Dr. Gray is no longer employed at McCullough-Hyde now I came back I now rate them a 4 star facility.

My daughter was very ill came to ER and was admitted. We are from the Chicago area where some of the best hospitals are located. I was concerned about the size of this hospital and whether or not we should transfer her. We met with hematology and gastrointestinal doc. She had an endoscopy and colonoscopy and discovered some significant inflammation in her stomach, colon, intestines/cdiff and she also had to have a blood transfusion and iron infusion. I can tell you thatI felt 100% confident with the care she was receiving. The doctors were very patient in explaining everything and great bed side manner. The NURSES....OMG....THEY ALL WERE SO CARING, ATTENTIVE and knowledgeable. The techs were the same. The hospital was also very very clean. All in all it has been a great experience where the Care is concerned.

Went to hospital with sick baby. She was never triaged and we left. The reception staff had no concern for a sick infant. The person in charge when I asked for one wasn't any better and said it might be another 20 minutes or more before they could triage her after rushing to the hospital. We left and went to Children's, where she was triaged upon entry. I wouldn’t recommend it for a baby or newborn. More than one bad experience with my little one here. However, there are some very good doctors and very nice people working here. I’ve even been seen here myself on several occasions over the years and received quality medical care from doctors who knew what they were doing. I just wouldn’t recommend it for children.

I’ve had good care at McCullough Hyde 1 time. I had covid when I received the actual attention every patient needs. I went to the hospital and the doctor walks in and the first thing he says to me is “how much do you smoke”. I quit smoking months ago. So of course I was offended. I went due to chest pain and tightness and was told it was anxiety. It’s been going on for weeks. It was doctor G something I don’t remember the rest of his name . The nurses are always doing 2x the work . They always explain my charts if something isn’t normal they always answer the questions I have. The doctors themselves could care less though. They come in gaslight you and act like you are wasting there time .

Questions & Answers

Do they have another blood test facility like they had in brookville in. That was a great place

Trihealth, which merged with McCullough-Hyde 100 percent, found the facility at Brookville, Indiana and Ross, Ohio were not doing enough business to keep them open. The phlebotomists that worked there are working at the main Oxford hospital now. The physician offices at Brookville, Indiana are still open and their draw their patients blood and send it to McCullough-Hyde lab for testing.

Is this a mercy health hospital
