In my opinion Gregs place worked . In the alcoholic and drugs part I think it really depends on the person. And hearing my dad talk so much about it, it sounds like Gregs Place only works if you want it to. If you just sit there in jail and think ¨When I get out of here Iḿ gonna go to Gregs Place, get sobor for a little bit and then get back my kids and my wife ” then it doesn´t work. But if your gonna go to Gregs Place and follow all the rules, go to meetings, eventually be willing to be a sponsor then it works. Gregs place really pushes you to be a better person. And I know its not much, but The men there had to get a job and support themselves. Not only that it tests how nice you are as a person. I dont know how to put that in words. But on the Sunday morning meeting I hear my dad get in the car and tell my mom all the challenges he had that week. I feel like that really tested his and other peoples personalities. I know for a fact that the ¨old Dad” would have just exploded with anger if they did that to him (he still does sometimes) and that that had really tested him. Also Iḿ pretty sure that theres some type of requirements that you have to go to AA and just that little thing can push you too. You do the steps and sometimes you have to ask people to take you to meetings. Sometimes people ask you to take them to meetings and they may not be your favorite person but you take them for that sake of there soberness. And thats something that helped my dad be a better person. -Violet

Highly recommended for men that truly want to establish a new way of life. My husband spent about a year living at Greg's Place. The community of people that he found there was what what needed to finally obtain true recovery. A debt of gratitude is owed to Wes, his family and the other men that support Greg's Place!

I can say that this place truly changes lives. My dad was here for twelve and a half months, and after his stay here has now been sober three years. This is after multiple attempts of getting sober in multiple different places and multiple different ways. As well as my dad, it has changed several other men's lives. I would definitely reccomend this place if you are thinking about attending a sober living.
