I'm a picky guy when it comes to records and music in general, especially after spending 3+ years working at a record store. I say this with all seriousness intended: Skeleton Dust is phenomenal. It outperforms stores across the country in its pricing, grading, and inventory. I have at all times at least 50 records in my wantlist sitting at Skeleton Dust, and for a store as small as it is to have that is IMPRESSIVE. Luke knows what he's doing, and we'd all be better off if more record stores across the country approached the business with the professionalism and fairness that he and his staff does.

I wanted to wait to write this until I had been here a couple times, and been to some other record shops. For Dayton, this is the better store. A more finely manicured selection. I find desirable titles, enticing. I don't feel like I am wasting my time sifting through duplicates of garbage. The store is clean, people are nice. Its a good experience.

Hello- We do, but it is not guaranteed and there is the possibility of your record being damaged in the process. It is $5 per record.
There is a limit of four customers in the store at once. All customers are required to wear masks and sanitize their hands prior to touching any items in the store.
Hi Iris- No, sorry, we do not. We don't carry films, just music. Maybe try Second Time Around or Don's Pawn Shop.
Hello- Yes, we do, but it depends on what kind of records they are and what the condition of them is. Please call us at 937-221-8528 for more info. Thanks!
Yes, we carry a couple different styles of replacement cartridges/needles. It's best to bring your needle in the store to determine which style you would need.
Yes, he can convert vinyl or cassette to digital files.
We don't buy much big band vinyl but would definitely be interested in bebop, hard bop, modal, and similar types of jazz.
