I had my surgery on 2006. My starting weight was 256. After problems with my insurance, Dr. Lufti 's office got it straightened out I had my surgery. I didn't need pain medication and I was back at my job after 2 weeks. This was great because my job required me to travel. Within the year I was down to 170lbs. I then lost another 20 lbs. I maintained a weight of 160lbs. I had my dumping issues but only because I caused it by the food I was eating. I am writing this review now because of covid I put 70 lbs back on me. I wanted to have revision surgery. But ot is not necessary because my stomach is still small. So the moral to this review is I would do the gastric bypass again in a heartbeat. I had a friend of m I ne do ot last year and she is at goal and the happiest she has been in a very long time. One last thing is I am single and was able to go through recovery by myself. Thank you Dr. Lufti for giving me my life.❤️ Gerry

Dr Lutfi is an amazing surgeon, along with his wonderful team! My case was very complicated because I had a previous gastric bypass (from a different surgeon) that left my stomach almost fully intact. Because of that, I was unsuccessful in losing weight. Dr Lutfi performed a revision surgery for me. Even being only 1 week out from surgery, I already notice a large difference in how much I can consume at 1 time. Thank you Dr Lutfi, Emma, Yolanda, Dr. Pastoressa, and the rest of the team, for everything.
