This place has gone to the dogs! (Literally, and in a good way.) A nice loop trail, safely fenced in. Good for off-leash Voice & Site permitted dogs to run free. (See Boulder CO Open Parks & Spaces website for more info on V&S.) Open, grassy fields, and in summer, Dry Creek isn't dry. (If you take a dip, we won't judge, but expect company.) Compostable poopy bags provided (please keep an eye on your pups and clean up after!), though sometimes they run out after busy days.

This morning at 10am the conditions were perfect! Packed snow in the trail, no wind, and bright warm sunshine!

There are signs everywhere that say dogs must be on a leash but no one follows the rules of the trail. So it felt like a dog park with dogs running around off leash.

Questions & Answers

Can you take a puppy that hasn’t yet got her tags?

I assume you mean voice and sight? Yes, but she must remain on leash.

Is it illegal to camp at the creek?

Stephen Holley | May 6, 2019
Lisa Gillespie | May 7, 2019

Yes, it is illegal - no camping permitted on OSMP land (open space and mountain parks). And Baseline lake is private. Closest public camping is probably Golden gate park (between Boulder and Golden) or Forest Service land outside the town of Nederland (17 miles W of Boulder). Good luck!
